Back in college a good friend of mine invited me over for dinner and showed me a copy of a book he had just purchased. The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Amongst bodybuilders this book is simply known as “The Bible.” I remember flipping through its pages for the first time– which contain awesome black and white photos of the golden age of bodybuilding– and being immediately hooked. While personal training certifications are fine, this book taught me everything I know about lifting, bodybuilding and fitness. If you’re serious about obtaining a chiseled physique get yourself a copy!
